Vintage Design
The chaise longue had a limited production between 2001 and 2005.
Storvik is a project that evokes emotions thanks to its biomorphic form, which will remain in the users’ memory for a long time.
The armchair looks light and natural.
It is stable and wide, and thus very comfortable.
Its construction was created on a bamboo frame, which in turn is surrounded by natural rattan material.
Despite its size, it is surprisingly light and delicate at the same time.
Carl Öjerstam, an industrial designer with an MFA degree, graduated from the School of Art and Design in Konstfack, Stockholm.
Since then he has been teaching design and working as a freelance designer in Sweden and abroad.
Carl has received many awards and recognitions.
Three of his products have received the international Red Dot Design Award – one of which is the Storvik.
The armchair has been preserved in very good condition.
It is one of the author’s most famous designs, today quite unique and sought after, being auctioned at major foreign auction houses.
