Serving Bar Cart in Walnut by Gino Maggioni, 1930s

Incredible Italian serving bar cart in curved walnut. This fantastic piece was designed by Gino Maggioni in Italy in the late 30s and still has its signed plate on the bottom. This rare serving table features a structure in black laquered bent wood and two shelves in a stunning curly walnut wood that almost looks like burl. The particularity of the cart stands in the curved structure which was patended by the architect Gino Maggioni with a new method which involved cold bending the wood instead of soaking it in hot water. The quality of the materials and manufacture is outstanding and the perfect lines drew by Maggioni are iconic and timeless. An exceptional trolley bar cart with a sinuous design that will donate charm and elevate a mid-century bar or a modern living room. The cart is in fantastic conditions.
