Vintage Design
Teak modular sofa from the 1960s by Gunnar Sørlie for Karl Sørlie & Sønner, Sarpsborg. Saga model with high quality solid teak frame. The sofa has been reupholstered. The arrangement of the seats and the table top can be changed in various positions. The Saga System was an important representative of industrial furniture manufacturing during the 1950s/60s. Due to its many functional features, Saga soon became a popular choice for private and public environments. The story consists of table tops and seats that can be varied on a single undercarriage. These seats were available for one up to four seats. Alternatively, you could use table topsbetween the seats like on this piece. The Saga System received the prize award for Good Design in 1965.
