Spectacular and original brasserie buffet in sculpted walnut veneer from the end of the 19th century double -part signed Jacob Josef Kohn from the 1890s. Open with six doors and two drawers. Sculpted raw wooden panels. Red and white marble tray (broken in the middle but easy to pick up on the spot. Jacob Kohn founded in 1849 the company, initially specialized in wood. In 1867, he joined his son Josef Kohn and guides the company Towards furnishings. The expiration of the Thonet brothers’ patent on curved wood technology allows them to soon offer their own range of products. with branches in Berlin, Paris, London and Hamburg, Kohn became from 1882 the One of the main furniture manufacturers in Austria-Hungary and is cited as one of the main competitors of Thonet.
