Beautiful set of the iconic “J80” dining chairs designed by Architect Jørgen Bækmark for FDB, Denmark. These chairs are made in the 1960s from solid oak and have a paper cord seat which are still original. Very solid and comfortable with the signature curved spindle back. Bought directly from the original and never been restored. Original papercord. Jørgen Bækmark (b. 1929 – 2021) is responsible for several pieces of iconic Danish furniture. From 1958 and nine years onwards, he followed in Børge Mogensens footprints as the head of FDB Møbler’s design studio where he helped make design-led furniture affordable for everyone.
