About the history:
With this chair in brass was taken up the form designed and made of wood in the early 19th century Giuseppe Gaetano Descalzi in his hometown. With it, he revolutionized the idea of seating furniture: Descalzi countered the bulky, often uncomfortable and pompous heavyweights of his time with the almost sober, highly resilient and, at the same time, feather-light model of a transom chair weighing only 1.3 kilograms.
