Vintage Design
Exceptionally rare Gerrit Rietveld original R25 sleeping sofa made in spruce wood, designed in 1936 for Metz & Co. The back folds down to a bed and the seat covers a storage compartment. A similar example of this sofa is part of the Gerrit Rietveld collection of the Centraal Museum in Utrecht. The first owner was a dentist named Plantijn in Haarlem, The Netherlands in the 1950s.
