Mid-Century Japanese Imari Garden Stool

A fantastic and very unique mid century Japanese Imari porcelain garden stool in a bold and fresh approach to the traditional Imari palette. Hand-decorated with a very dark navy blue (almost black) in contrast with shinny gold buttons and gold and orange – red chrysanthemums. Two round medallions with beautiful, slender bamboo stalks and florals and two very large medallions with lucky coin cutouts and more florals. Absolutely stunning piece!
